Fire risk assessment (health & safety)
Fire risk assessments done correctly can help identify all possible risks of combustion and thereafter methods put in place to counteract these “at risk” areas.
A significant amount of businesses do not even know the requirements that are needed within their premises so that they are compliant in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) which came into force on 1st October 2006. Ignite Fire @ Safety Ltd uses various Assessment formats that relate to the individual size and requirements of the property, to ensure the assessment is not only suitable for the property concerned but also that the assessment is delivered at an appropriate cost.
The Fire & Safety order applies in England and Wales (Northern Ireland and Scotland have their own laws). It covers 'general fire precautions' and other fire safety duties which are needed to protect 'relevant persons' in case of fire in and around most 'premises'. The order requires fire protection to be put in place "where necessary" and to the extent that it is reasonable and practicable in the circumstances of the case.
Ignite Fire & Safety Ltd can provide a Fire Risk Assessment for a cost starting from £195.00 plus vat while a Health & Safety Assessment can be provided at a cost starting from £295.00 plus vat . This will identify the specific areas that need to be improved so that all areas become compliant in line with current British Standards.
The order firmly places a responsibility on anyone who has control of premises or anyone who has a degree of control over certain areas or systems (a "Responsible Person" ) and outlines all the measures that must be taken to ensure the safety of all the people he/she is either directly or indirectly responsible for. The "Responsible Person" is required to ensure the completion of a Fire Risk Assessment and to take suitable steps to remove or reduce fire hazards.
